Holland America Line is expanding its horizons by introducing a spectacular year-round cruising presence in Europe for the 2027-2028 season. This historic deployment allows travelers to explore the magnificent European continent during the enchanting winter and early spring months. By keeping the elegant Nieuw Statendam in the region full-time alongside select voyages on the Zuiderdam, the premium cruise line is adding more than 70 port days compared to previous years. This brilliant operational shift allows travelers to experience iconic destinations at a beautifully relaxed pace, entirely free from the large crowds of the peak summer season.

The winter lineup features atmospheric holiday sailings specifically designed to bring Europe’s famous Christmas traditions to life. Guests can enjoy immersive Baltic and Scandinavian itineraries that offer overnight stays in festive cultural capitals like Stockholm and Helsinki, which even provides gateway access to the snowy magic of Lapland. Additional holiday routes feature overnight stays in Hamburg, inviting passengers to wander through vibrant seasonal markets filled with local artisans and bright twinkling lights.

As the season progresses into late winter and early spring, the focus shifts to the sunny Mediterranean and the Canary Islands. These voyages provide a delightfully warm and authentic look at highly sought-after destinations across Spain, France, Italy, Greece, and Morocco. Ranging from seven to 14 days, these flexible itineraries can be paired together into grand Collectors’ Voyages spanning up to 24 days. Back on board, guests can continuously savor the journey with award-winning enrichment programs and regionally inspired dining, ensuring an incredibly comforting, deeply immersive, and thoroughly refreshing vacation experience.
