To celebrate the occasion, the luxury cruise line is sponsoring the Tony Awards Green Room, a backstage sanctuary for nominees, presenters, and performers. The space is being designed by Broadway actress and creative designer Krysta Rodriguez, who is drawing inspiration from the timeless elegance and heritage of Cunard’s iconic fleet, including the world’s only ocean liner, Queen Mary 2.

The Green Room’s aesthetic aims to evoke the feeling of being at sea, incorporating rich wood tones, polished brass accents, and sculptural seating that mirrors the grand salons found on the Queens. Design elements like “porthole” moments and lighting reminiscent of a golden-hour departure are intended to provide a serene escape for stars during the high-energy broadcast. This partnership underscores Cunard’s long-standing commitment to the performing arts, which is a central pillar of its onboard experience. The cruise line frequently hosts West End and Broadway-caliber productions, such as “Come From Away,” and features an “Inspiring Enrichment” program that brings together artists and travelers.

The 79th Annual Tony Awards will take place at Radio City Music Hall on June 7, hosted by P!NK.
