  • Integrated Land and Sea Packages: The programs merge 10- or 11-night cruises with multi-day inland tours to provide a continuous, all-inclusive travel experience.
  • Denali and Interior Exploration: Alaskan land tours feature historic riverboat travel, dome-car rail journeys, and intensive wildlife viewing in major national parks.
  • Canadian Rockies Luxury Rail: Partnerships with the Rocky Mountaineer allow guests to explore Banff and Lake Louise with high-end observation and dining services.

Azamara Cruises has announced specialized Alaska Cruisetours, combining traditional ocean voyages with extended inland expeditions. This decision follows a positive response to the brand’s scheduled return to Alaska in 2026. The new programs are designed to integrate the company’s 10- and 11-night sailings with land-based tours ranging from four to six nights. These packages are structured to offer a comprehensive travel experience by bundling accommodations, transportation, guided excursions, and meals into a single booking.

The land components focus on deep immersion into the North American interior and the Canadian Rockies. For the Alaska-specific tours, guests can participate in activities such as gold panning, traveling via historic sternwheelers on the Chena River, and exploring Denali National Park using Deluxe Dome Railcars. Cultural engagement is also a priority, with scheduled visits to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. These inland segments are escorted by guides to ensure a seamless transition from the ship to the wilderness.

In addition to Alaskan inland routes, Azamara is introducing five- and six-night programs through Western Canada. These tours utilize the Rocky Mountaineer rail service, offering both GoldLeaf and SilverLeaf service tiers that feature panoramic views of Banff National Park and Lake Louise. The longest six-night pre-cruise option includes unique activities such as bear watching from Land Rovers and regional wine tastings. Furthermore, the cruise line has designed these itineraries to potentially link with transpacific voyages from Northern Japan. This allows travelers to create an extensive multi-continental journey that spans from Asia across the Pacific and deep into the rugged landscapes of the Canadian Rockies and Alaska.
