American Airlines has announced a comprehensive refresh of its inflight food and beverage offerings scheduled to launch on February 1, 2026. The airline is focusing on enhancing the passenger experience by introducing new non-alcoholic options, premium mixers, and updated meal selections across various cabin classes. A primary highlight of this update is the debut of Athletic Brewing Company’s Free Wave Hazy IPA, which marks the carrier’s first non-alcoholic beer option available during flights. This addition expands upon the brand’s existing presence in American’s airport lounges.

The beverage menu will also see the inclusion of Q Margarita Mix, Q Tonic Water, and Q Club Soda, designed to pair with spirits like Socorro Tequila. Furthermore, in response to customer demand, the airline is adding LaCroix Sparkling Water in Lime and Berry flavors to its lineup. These changes aim to provide travelers with more diverse and high-quality drink customization options at cruising altitude.

Regarding food service, Main Cabin passengers on select routes within the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, and Mexico will have access to new buy-on-board items, such as a chicken salad and Boursin cheese wrap. For international travelers in Premium Economy and the Main Cabin, the airline is introducing a variety of globally inspired entrees, including barbecue chicken with grits, vegetable yakiniku noodles, and region-specific dishes like beef bibimbap for Asian routes. American Airlines continues to facilitate easy transactions by allowing customers to purchase these items using tap-to-pay technology or by redeeming AAdvantage miles.
