  • The introduction of the A350 fleet and expansion of Premium Economy cabins
  • Technological upgrades including the fleet-wide rollout of Starlink Wi-Fi
  • Strategic route expansion into East Asia and new logistical services
  • Commitment to accessible travel through autism certification and sensory tools

In 2025, Emirates marked its 40th year of operations by transporting 55.6 million passengers and placing orders for 73 new aircraft. A primary highlight of the year was the commercial debut of the Airbus A350 in January. The A350 fleet has since grown to 16 aircraft serving 18 cities, with future expansion planned for the Americas in 2026. The airline also significantly increased its footprint in East Asia, launching non-stop daily flights to Shenzhen and Hangzhou while adding services to Danang and Siem Reap to meet growing regional demand.

The airline continued its focus on passenger comfort by expanding its Premium Economy cabin, which is now available on approximately 40% of the fleet. To enhance connectivity, Emirates announced the rollout of complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi, offering high-speed internet for streaming and gaming. Installation began on Boeing 777s and will extend to the A380 fleet in 2026. Beyond the cabin, Emirates solidified its brand visibility through major sports sponsorships, including a partnership with FC Bayern Munich and a historic extension with World Rugby.

Operational innovations included the launch of Emirates Courier Express for direct cross-border package delivery and the 25th anniversary of the Skywards loyalty program, which now serves 37 million members. On the social responsibility front, the airline became the world’s first Autism Certified Airline, introducing specialized training and sensory guides to assist neurodiverse travelers. Additionally, the “Aircrafted KIDS” initiative distributed backpacks made from upcycled materials to children in need. These efforts were capped by numerous industry accolades, including being named Best Airline in the World for the eighth consecutive year.
