The demand for adults-only travel is experiencing significant growth, with the global couples-only luxury resorts market projected to increase from $10 billion in 2025 to $25 billion by 2033. Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts is responding to this trend by promoting a collection of adults-only properties in Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic, focusing on privacy, cultural immersion, and high-quality hospitality.

In Mexico’s Riviera Maya, the existing Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka’an offers 420 suites, four pools, and exclusive access to the PGA Riviera Maya Golf Course, a highly-rated Robert Trent Jones II design. A new addition, Bahia Principe Grand Tequila, is scheduled to open later this year. It will feature a contemporary, social atmosphere with interactive dining and lively entertainment, including the unique music and cocktail venue, Sala de Despecho.
The collection includes four resorts in the Dominican Republic. Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville in La Romana provides two ocean-view pools, a cigar lounge, and access to the 27-hole PGA Ocean’s 4 championship golf course. In Punta Cana, Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar offers 528 suites, swim-up rooms, and access to the wider Bahia Principe Bávaro complex’s 26 restaurants, focusing on chic design and gourmet dining like Limbo and M.E.A.T. Also in Punta Cana, Bahia Principe Grand Aquamarine is designed for a more social and energetic experience, featuring pool parties, mixology contests, and dedicated “social corners” within the complex. Finally, the boutique Bahia Principe Grand Samaná offers an intimate, quiet escape with 149 rooms overlooking Samaná Bay, focusing on restorative experiences, an infinity pool, and a seaside spa using local ingredients.
Lluïsa Salord Amer, Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer, stated that the goal of these properties is to create sophisticated environments for adults to relax, socialize, and connect through various tailored offerings, such as live music, mixology, and exclusive wellness spaces.
