The U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI) is preparing to host a major cultural event when the UberSoca Cruise, aboard the Norwegian Encore, docks in St. Thomas on November 19. The cruise ship’s arrival will transform the harbor into a full-scale celebration of Caribbean culture, attracting thousands of soca music fans and Virgin Islanders.

The event is a collaborative effort between the USVI Department of Tourism and the Division of Festivals, reinforcing a growing partnership with UberSoca Cruise aimed at spotlighting the Territory’s creative community and its importance in regional cultural tourism. The festivities are scheduled to begin with a street parade from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Following the parade, a Food Fair will be held at the Bennie Iguana parking lot near the West Indian Company Limited (WICL) pier. Local entertainers and vendors will participate, showcasing the distinct spirit and flavor of the islands. Commissioner Nominee Jennifer Matarangas-King noted that the UberSoca Cruise provides a dynamic platform for celebrating the spirit of the Virgin Islands among a passionate community of Caribbean music enthusiasts.
