The cruise industry is set for significant expansion in 2026 and beyond as several new lines, ranging from renowned hospitality brands to specialized niche operators, prepare to launch their inaugural vessels. Leading the wave of luxury hotel expansions into the maritime sector, Four Seasons will debut the Four Seasons I in March 2026. This 190-guest vessel, currently under construction in Italy, emphasizes spaciousness and will operate in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Following closely, VidantaWorld plans to launch its adults-only product in April 2026 with the refurbished VidantaWorld’s Elegant, focusing on exclusive ports across the Mediterranean and Atlantic Islands.

In May 2026, Orient Express will enter the market with the OE Corinthian, a sailing vessel designed to recall the golden age of travel. It features 54 suites and unique amenities like a recording studio. Later in the year, Terra Nova Expeditions intends to begin service using the historic RMS St. Helena for slow-travel expeditions to Antarctica, following upgrades to passenger facilities. Looking ahead to 2027, the ultra-luxury sector will see the arrival of Aman at Sea’s Amangati, featuring Japanese gardens and two helipads, as well as R Yacht’s Sefu, which aims to be Japan’s first yacht-style cruise ship dedicated to immersive regional itineraries.
